Thrive Yoga is the passion of Kate Watkinson who practices and teaches heart centred and community focused Yoga.

Thrive Yoga aims to inspire us all to move from surviving to thriving.
Through Yoga we learn to become grateful, compassionate and conscious in order to truly thrive.

Maya Angelou says it so beautifully – to thrive is to truly live. To thrive we embrace all of life with openness, gratitude and wonder.
This means the challenges and the goodness. Life is constantly evolving and the sun is not always shining.
Life is change and sometimes rain. Maya Angelou herself faced many challenges and hardships and yet thrived throughout.
To thrive is to embrace all of life from a place of quiet stillness and reverence that lies within.
Yoga teaches us to come home to the light within ourselves so that we may truly thrive.

Thrive Yoga is Kate’s medium for taking Yoga out into the community. The aspects of Yoga that Kate particularly resonate with are:

The breath is the key to Yoga. Our breath feeds into every part of our Yoga practice.
The breath moves us from mechanical physical movements to moving from within; moving with awareness.
The breath calms our emotional body; the breath stills the mental body; the breath brings us to the intimate experience of our reality.
